Research topic: State policy in the field of strengthening Kazakhstani identity.

The goal of the sociological research is to study the process of formation of Kazakhstani identity and integration of ethnic groups, as well as to determine the criteria and trends affecting the strengthening of Kazakhstani identity. Elaboration of state policy measures to strengthen Kazakhstani identity.

Tasks of sociological research are as follows:

  • Analysis and assessment of the process of formation and strengthening of Kazakhstani identity and unity;
  • Analysis of the integration processes of ethnic groups of Kazakhstan in the course of implementation of programs for the modernization of social harmony;
  • Determination of criteria for measuring Kazakhstani identity;
  • Identification of trends influencing the strengthening of Kazakhstani identity;
  • Development of state policy measures to strengthen Kazakhstani identity.

Research object is the ethnic groups of Kazakhstan, including Kazakhs, Russians, Uzbeks, Ukrainians, Uighurs, Kyrgyz, Dungans, Kurds, Tajiks and Azerbaijanis.

Research subject is the process of formation of Kazakhstani identity and integration of ethnic groups.

The method of information collection in this research is a mass survey among ethnic groups aged 18 years and older, “face-to-face”.

Research sample

The sample size in the mass survey is 3000 respondents. The study used the method of multistage sampling. At the first stage, regions were selected, at the second stage - the number of ethnic groups in the city / village.

The study area includes 13 regions and cities of republican significance Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent.
