In 2020, experts from the Institute of Applied Ethnopolitical Research organized a cycle of trips, during which the following tasks were completed:
In total, during 13 visits, 11 regions with a high probability of interethnic conflicts were surveyed, 582 interviews with representatives of ethnic groups were organized. In addition, special monitoring trips were organized to areas with a high level of conflict potential as villages Shornak, Kaskabulak and Korday district.
During the work of the monitoring groups, a comparative analysis of official data on the ethnic composition of civil servants and the level of social infrastructure was carried out. By means of visual observations, the level of well-being of residents of settlements, the level of service at service facilities, including the ability to serve in Kazakh and Russian languages, were assessed. Public sentiment was analyzed, including in religious communities. As a result of the work carried out, risk factors of a social, cultural, infrastructural and other nature were identified. Conclusions and recommendations are made to minimize the identified risks and problems.
