Conference of the Asian part of the IFSO organization (Social transformation for admission to a better life after the pandemi
On the 8th of May project leader PhD Otar Elmira was invited to the conference of the Asian part of IFSSO (INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF SOCIAL SCIENCE ORGANIZATIONS) “SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION TO BUILD BACK BETTER LIFE POSTCOVID19 PANDEMIC”, ASIA CHAPTER ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2024.

The International conference was held at the Faculty of Humanities, Udayan University, Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. Although the invitation to be the keynote speaker was sent in advance, Elmira Otar was only able to join online.

In her presentation Elmira Otar spoke about Tajik communities in Kazakhstan and shared the results of field sociological research conducted within the project. More attention was paid to the results of sociological observation. The life and way of life of Tajiks who live separately in mono-ethnic villages and in poly-ethnic localities were compared, in Firdousi village of Maktaaral region, as well as in Al-Farabi village of Zhetysai region.

The report and the results of the study were of keen interest to the conference organisers and participants.
